Cloud Migration and Security Challenges Faced by FinSure Solutions
FinSure Solutions’ on-premise data infrastructure was not equipped to handle their growing operational demands. The system’s limited scalability, coupled with frequent maintenance downtimes, impacted their ability to serve clients efficiently. AWS Cloud Security and Migration Strategy for FinSure Solutions
To meet FinSure’s needs, we implemented a multi-faceted AWS migration and security enhancement strategy, ensuring both a seamless transition and improved protection of their sensitive data.
We set up a secure AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) to isolate FinSure’s environment, protecting sensitive client data. AWS Key Management Service (KMS) was deployed to encrypt data both at rest and in transit, ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Role-based access controls were put in place to limit access to sensitive data, further enhancing security.
FinSure’s legacy data and applications were migrated to AWS using AWS Database Migration Service (DMS). This allowed for a seamless migration without affecting ongoing operations, ensuring that client services continued uninterrupted during the process.
To protect FinSure’s web applications from cyber threats, we implemented AWS Web Application Firewall (WAF). This service helped shield their applications from common web exploits, such as SQL injection and cross-site scripting (XSS), providing an additional layer of security for sensitive financial data.
We migrated FinSure’s archival and infrequently accessed data to Amazon S3 Infrequent Access and Amazon Glacier for cost-effective, long-term storage. This allowed them to store large amounts of financial data securely while keeping storage costs under control.
We implemented a disaster recovery solution using Amazon RDS for failover capabilities and CloudEndure Disaster Recovery for backup. This ensured that, in case of an unforeseen disaster, FinSure could recover their critical data within hours, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
